Aspiring actor Ramgen "Ram" Revilla fought his killers but eventually died of a fatal stab wound in the heart, an autopsy report conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) showed.
In an interview aired over GMA News TV's Quick Response Team, NBI medico-legal division chief Dr. Alvin David said Ram's body sustained several injuries, which could indicate he struggled against his attackers.
"Meron pong isang naging saksak sa braso na pwedeng sabihing nanlaban siya at merong mga gasgas sa katawan ng biktima," he said, adding that the abrasions were also present on his forehead and shoulders.
David said Ram sustained 10 stab wounds, three incised wounds, and one gunshot wound. He said the fatal wound that led to the victim's death was the stab to his chest that pierced his heart.
"Mayroon pong isang tama ng saksak sa puso nung biktima na nag-cause ng pamumuo ng dugo doon sa bumalabot ng puso," he said.
He noted the NBI is yet to determine what bladed weapon was used on Ram. He said the weapon is probably a sharp-pointed and single-bladed instrument.
He said the bullet casings found in the crime scene were submitted to the NBI firearms division to identify the gun that was used on the victim.
Ram was killed in his Parañaque City home last Oct. 28. His girlfriend, Janelle Manahan, was likewise attacked but survived the incident.
The police filed murder and frustrated murder complaints against siblings Ramona and Ramon Joseph "RJ" Bautista, 18, for their alleged involvement in the crime.
RJ is in police custody.
Ramona, however, flew out of the Philippines with the Bureau of Immigration’s consent Friday night. BI officials said Ramona was likely on her way to Turkey where her husband reportedly resides. At the time of her departure, no case has yet been filed in court against her.
Also charged along with the siblings were Michael Altea and Roy Francis Tolisora, who were earlier arrested by police.
Three other suspects, identified as Norwin de la Cruz and two others with the aliases Bryan and Glaiza, remain at-large.
